El Gouna is an Egyptian tourist resort, owned by Samih Sawiris and developed by Orascom Hotels and Development dating from 1989. It is located on the Red Sea in the Red Sea Governorate of Egypt, 20 kilometres (12 miles) north of Hurghada.
It is part of the Red Sea Riviera, and a host city of the El Gouna Film Festival. El Gouna specializes in water-sports, including scuba diving, windsurfing, kitesurfing, waterskiing, parasailing and snorkelling. There are several beaches: including Zeytuna Beach located on its own island, Mangroovy Beach, Moods Beach and other hotel beaches. A network of canals allows many houses to have their own strip of beach, even hundreds of meters inland. Most of these canals are crossed by small stone bridges.
There are three main areas in El Gouna, Downtown, Tamr Henna Square and the Abu Tig Marina
There are 18 hotels with 2,895 rooms rated from three stars to five stars.
Other attractions and activities around town include a small aquarium, a go-kart track, a paintball arena, tennis courts, horse stables and a football stadium. The local football team El Gouna FC currently plays in the Egyptian premier league. It also has a Mosque and a Coptic Church, the Church of St. Mary and the Archangels.
In 2017 an annual film festival was established, the El Gouna Film Festival, it attracts many Egyptian movies stars, also hosts some International stars as well.

Weather
November, the last month of the autumn, in El Gouna, is also a moderately hot month, with average temperature ranging between max 26.6°C (79.9°F) and min 15°C (59°F). An excellent water temperature of 25.5°C (77.9°F) makes November a prime for swimming and other water activities.
Location
Conveniently located 20 kilometers north of Hurghada, El Gouna is only a four hour flight from Europe’s major capitals.
The town is easily accessed from Europe via the nearby Hurghada International Airport and boasts a superb infrastructure and excellent services as well as natural beaches and year-round sunshine.
The town’s location offers good access to many of Egypt’s natural wonders, historical sites, and archaeological treasures. The ancient temples of Luxor and Aswan are only a ride away. Day and overnight trips to Luxor, Aswan, Cairo, and Sinai are also easily arranged from El Gouna.

This tournament is open to all football amateur teams related with aviation business (Airlines, Airports, ATC - Air Traffic Controllers, Handling, Cargo, Catering, Travel Agencies - Sales Agents, Partners / Suppliers or others).

All players must be aviation employees (or former employees), however each team is allowed to bring up to 2 players outside aviation (but non professional football players).

During the registration process, the organizational committee can ask teams to present Company ID Cards confirming that the players belong to the aviation business or that are not professional football players.

Non-aviation amateur teams are allowed to participate.
The organization can provide wild cards and this decision should be taken by the organizers.

Teams can apply unlimited players, staff or guests.

To participate at this tournament the organization provides 5 packages:
- Premium package;
- Executive package;
- Economy package;
- Basic package;
- Low-cost package.

To apply, participants must accept all the services included in each package.

Other packages with less services WILL NOT be provided to participants. More services can be included in each package with extra costs.

To be part of the tournament, the packages must be requested to the organizational committee.
Anyone who doesn't book a package with the organizational committee will not be considered as a participant at AFC and cannot be part of a team.

The captain / manager of each team is responsible to collect the money from the whole team and make the payment of the packages to the organizational committee .
Individual payments are not accepted.

We have limited availability for each package and also limited rooms available at each hotel.
For this reason, we will give priority to the teams that send us the payments within the deadline date.
On the other hand for teams that do not make payments or payment is made after the deadline, we can not guarantee them the requested package or even a spot in our tournament.

Football Games
Our tournament will be played at El Gouna FC training facilities on three Natural 7-a-side pitches.
Cancellation of the tournament

In order to allow the organizational committee to organize AFC El Gouna, a minimum of 4 teams must participate in each Division (Elite & Friendly).

Tournament can be cancelled if less than 8 teams are registered in all divisions.
